Senior Full-Stack Engineer

$145,000 – $175,000 base+ small equity grantFull health, dental, visionRemote, continental US time zones
ABOUT THE ROLE

You'd be the third engineer on the team. Full-stack - mostly TypeScript, React on the front end, Node and Postgres on the back. You'd own real product surface from your first week: feature areas, not just tickets. The founder is technical, reviews pull requests, and ships to production daily.

WHAT WE'RE LIKE
  • Small team. Four people. It will stay small by design - we are optimizing for output per person, not headcount.
  • No on-call rotation. Our incident volume is low enough that the whole team handles it ad-hoc.
  • We ship every Wednesday. No sprints, no quarterly planning theater, no OKRs to copy-paste from last quarter.
  • Customers are sheet metal contractors. Prior construction or trade experience isn't required - but curiosity about how physical things get built is.
  • Profitable and bootstrapped. We are not raising. Your equity is a real instrument, not lottery-ticket theater.
WHAT YOU'D DO
  • Own end-to-end features across the takeoff, estimating, and bid management modules.
  • Write code that gets read by two other people within 48 hours. Code reviews are thorough; egos are not.
  • Talk to customers directly. Sales calls, support calls, onsite visits. You don't need to lead them, but you will be present.
  • Help decide what we build next. Seniority here means judgment, not supervision.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 6+ years writing production software. Comfortable shipping full-stack.
  • Strong Postgres and SQL fundamentals. We model domain problems as data, not as microservices.
  • Able to write prose. You'll write customer-facing release notes and internal design docs.
  • Comfortable being the only engineer in a room with the customer.
