Inspection and process control across each stage of production.
Quality activities are integrated through fabrication, brazing, coil production, and assembly. Production records are maintained internally and supplied with engineered-to-order shipments where required.
Built to specification.
Designwinds manufactures thermal components to customer specifications. Each program is supported by drawing review, in-process inspection, and final test before shipment. Production records are maintained internally and provided to customers on engineered-to-order programs.
Quality activities are performed by Designwinds personnel using internal process documentation, inspection routings, and acceptance criteria established for each product configuration. Records are retained for the life of the program.
Where inspection occurs.
| Stage | Activity |
|---|---|
| Incoming Material | Material verification, certificate review, dimensional check on critical inputs |
| Fabrication | First-piece dimensional inspection, in-process spot checks |
| Brazing | Visual inspection, joint integrity check, pressure verification |
| Coil Production | Fin pitch and pattern verification, tube expansion check, circuit verification |
| Assembly | Leak detection, pressure testing, dimensional and functional checks |
| Final / Packaging | Final inspection, packaging verification, shipment documentation |
Quality activities by area.
Drawing & Specification Review
Customer drawings are reviewed by Designwinds engineering against fabrication and brazing capability before quoting. Design-for-manufacturability feedback is provided where standard configurations conflict with customer drawing requirements.
First Article & Prototype
First-article and prototype builds are inspected against customer-approved drawings before production release. First-article inspection reports are issued on request and on engineered-to-order programs by default.
In-Process Inspection
In-process inspection is performed at fabrication, brazing, and coil production stages. Inspection points are defined in internal routing documents and adjusted by product configuration where required.
Leak & Pressure Testing
Coils and assemblies are leak-tested and pressure-verified before final inspection. Test parameters are configured by product line; results are recorded against unit identification on production records.
Final Inspection
Final inspection covers dimensional, functional, and packaging criteria. Production records, where required, accompany shipment documentation for engineered-to-order programs.
Records & Traceability
Production records are maintained internally for the life of each program. Records include build, inspection, and test data for each unit; customer-specified retention and traceability requirements are supported through internal documentation processes.
Working with customer quality requirements.
Designwinds supports customer-specific quality programs on engineered-to-order work. This includes inspection plans, first-article requirements, retained samples, lot traceability, and program-specific inspection documentation. Specific certification and approval requirements are reviewed at the program level during quoting and engineering.
